The London Experimental Ensemble boast Eddie Prévost, an original founding member of AMM Music and frequent collaborator and friend of Cardew, as a mentor as the ensemble emerged out of his London workshops. As well, Carol Finer Chant who played with Cardew in the Scratch Orchestra graciously joined the Ensemble for this performance. Prévost’s very informative liner notes inform us not only on the history but also the quality of the resulting live recording; “It is rich in sonic detail and empathy and thus enriches the listener.”
