Lyrics
6 - Occupy park
We gather here for our rights
For what should be self evident
That’s everyone who hears tonight
From the Mayor to the President
We’re fed up with inequity
And distribution of wealth
We don’t ask for everything
Just a little bit for ourselves
We are willing to work hard
If given a chance
None of us want a handout
But in light of recent circumstance
We can no longer keep our mouths shut
The rich get richer yet want
to cut the poor
They demonize and disrespect
From behind their gilded doors
If they could spend one day on the street
Or in the minimum wage
They would feel and understand
And appreciate our rage
But we will stand non-violent
And only fight with words
Even in the face of brutality
We will be heard
We will now be heard
