Walking Home
Ed Pettersen and The High Line Riders
It doesn’t always have to take forever … A mere three years after the surprising return of his band The High Line Riders with Bumping Into Nothing, their mastermind Ed Pettersen presents us with Walking Home, an equally excellent successor. It’s a classy, timeless mix of handmade rock’n’roll, dynamic country rock and heartfelt folk roots numbers –

Pettersen's new release "I Curse the River of Time: A Norwegian American Tale" is showcased in a beautiful art book that tells a fascinating tale of Pettersen's roots in the Arctic circle of Norway. Inspired by time spent in Norway, the music draws on Norwegian literature for inspiration (the song Psalm at Journey's End draws characters from Eric Fosnes Hansen's book of the same name, and Siste Reis combines the American genre of murder ballads with the story of a young Norwegian girl who trusts in the wrong stranger) coupled with observations from his travels. The music is hauntingly beautiful with instrumentation that combines the best of folk and Americana. This unique package comes in a slipcase and signed numbered limited edition of 1200 copies.
